Reliquaries

Reliquaries extends my painting practice into sculpture through vacuum-formed acrylic. Paint, palettes, and disposable tools are sealed within transparent forms that evoke both museum vitrines and commercial packaging.

Neither container nor frame, the acrylic becomes an active material. Light, reflection, and shadow project each work into the surrounding space, extending painting beyond its surface so that the wall itself becomes part of the composition.

Treating provisional materials with the care traditionally reserved for artifacts, the series explores how preservation, display, and material transformation reshape painting into sculptural objects that occupy both physical and perceptual space.
