Frottages & Fictions

Frottages & Fiction combines watercolor, frottage, painting, printing, and handwritten text. The series incorporates personal writing, reading notes, found text, and remnants of previous artworks, layering image and language through processes of rubbing, collecting, and reassembly.

Developed during the Covid pandemic, the work emerged from my daily studio practice, where writing, reading, and making gradually became intertwined.
